دراسة تُحذِّر: الأكياس والرضاعات البلاستيكية تُحوِّل "الذكور" إلى "إناث"!



قالت دراسة نُشرت في الولايات المتحدة أمس إن فئراناً ذكوراً تعرَّضت عندما كانت صغيرة لمادة كيميائية تُسمَّى "bpa"، وهي مادة تدخل في صناعة الأكياس والعبوات البلاستيكية، أصبحت تتصرف كالإناث، ويمكن وصفها بأنها "إناث" أكثر منها "ذكور"!
وقد تواصلت التحذيرات خلال الأشهر الماضية من استخدام الأكياس البلاستيكية على مستوى العالم، وسنَّت دول عدة أنظمة تمنع استخدامها، ومنها الولايات المتحدة والإمارات، فيما انطلقت في التاسع من مايو الماضي بمدينة جدة أول حملة وطنية للتوعية بأهمية إعادة استخدام وترشيد استهلاك الأكياس البلاستيكية.
كما صدر بالسعودية مؤخراً قرارٌ يمنع المطاعم من استعمال منتجات البلاستيك في حفظ الطعام الساخن، واقتصار ذلك على استخدام علب الألمنيوم؛ وذلك للحفاظ على صحة المستهلك.
وقالت أكاديمية العلوم الأمريكية إن مادة "bpa" تؤثر في سلوك ونمو الإنسان. فيما أكد عالِم بجامعة ميزوري، يُدعى شيرل روسينفيلد، أن الفئران الذكور التي تعرّضت لتلك المادة عندما كانت صغيرة أصبحت غير مرغوبة من قِبل الفئران الإناث، ولا تستطيع التزاوج معها.
وأضاف: الفئران الذكور أصبحت غير قادرة على إيجاد الإناث بعد أن فقدت بعض الخواص التي يتميز بها الذكور، وعانت أيضاً مشاكل في البلوغ.
وذكرت الدراسة أيضاً أن الذكور التي تعرضت لتلك المادة عانت مشاكل مختلفة، منعتها من إتمام عملية التزاوج.
يُذكر أن الاتحاد الأوروبي وكندا ودول أخرى حظرت استخدام تلك المادة في صناعة قنينات حليب الأطفال "الرضّاعات".
